Nobel Laureate, Dr. Vernon L. Smith, to Speak at Forum
Dr. Vernon L. Smith is both Professor of Economics and Law and Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Science at George Mason University. He also serves as the Rasmuson Chair in Economics at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Smith is widely recognized as the "father of experimental economics," as well as being recognized for his seminal contributions to production theory, public choice, environmental economics, behavioral economics and the emerging field of neuroeconomics.

Smith received the Nobel Prize in Economics "for having established laboratory experiments as a tool in empirical economic analysis, especially in the study of alternative market mechanisms."
